A Bit About Me:

I was born in Oklahoma, raised in Arizona, and though I’ve *Never Been to Spain, I kind of like the music, specifically, and possibly only, the music of a solo guitarist with the first or last name of Enrique, who may or may not be from Spain.

I am the fourth of five daughters. All five of us are graduates of Northern Arizona University. In our family, you weren’t done with school until you’d graduated college. I was thirty-one years old when I was done with school. I’d had several (a lot) of jobs during those years. So, after graduation, I buckled down and continued to add to that list of jobs. I’ve got a lot of material, folks.

I have a beautiful daughter, inside and out. She and my son-in-law have blessed me with three perfect grandchildren—says Grandma. They are full of joy, the whole family.

As for writing, I love it. I think that love started with being a reader. My mom was a reader. Most of my first ‘reads’ were from her shelf. I loved how the written words could make me laugh or cry, and in the case of Mr. Murder, a Dean Koontz novel, jump!

I laughed out loud when writing some of the lines in this story. I laughed long after, too, every time I thought about those same lines. I hope there will be those who enjoy reading Dead, Dead in Villa Del Rio as much as I enjoyed writing it.

My favorite quote on writing is from Robert Frost:

“No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader.

No surprise in the writer, no surprise in the reader.”

It’s true.
